Lois Lane announced for DCTV, but who should play her?

Over the past month DCTV has seen lots of exciting announcements and now Lois Lane. First, we had the casting announcement of  Ruby Rose as Batwoman, and now we have some fantastic Superman and Lois Lane news.

The CW have announced a three episode crossover in the Arrowverse this year. This crossover will mark Batwoman’s debut, but we will also see the return of Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. Superman has been confirmed for every episode in this crossover. I for one can’t wait to see him back as Superman/Clark Kent, I think he did a great job in Supergirl, and I want to see what more he has to offer.

But, not only do we have the return of Superman, we are also being blessed with the introduction of Lois Lane. It is about time she returns to TV – I am very excited about this. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner commented “This determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DCTV characters.” I couldn’t agree more! Lois has been mentioned several times is previous episodes of Supergirl, so I feel that this is something that was always going to happen. But to have it confirmed is great news.

There has been talks about a TV series called Metropolis, but ever since rumours started, we haven’t really seen anything new announcements. Could this be the start of a new TV show based around the lives of Superman/Clark Kent and Lois?

Casting for Lois Lane for DCTV is due to start very soon and I’m sure we will get an announcement in a month or two! But who should play her? Based on the ages of Supergirl and Superman and other DC characters already introduced, I would say Lois would be in her 30’s. With that in mind, here are my suggestions and fan-casts.

The crossover airs on TV in America on 9th December at 8pm, starting with The Flash, then Arrow on 10th December with the finale on 11th December on Supergirl. I am very excited!
