The more items I get to add to my Superman collection , the more I think I need to stop. But I know that’s not going to happen…Whoops.
I’m having to split the stuff I get into two blog posts now, I’m getting that much!
Get ready for a Comic special!
1- Superman in Action Comics – Issue 687
Yes, these are both the same comic… But they both have different covers. What more of an excuse do I need to buy them? This is a prime example of why – if you’re into this kind of thing – car boot sales are the ONE. I got these for 99p each. Bargain! A few of the other comics below also come from the same seller at the same car boot. I seriously recommend going, you never know what you’re going to find.

2 – The Adventures of Superman Comic – Issue 518
Another example of the delights of a car boot sale. I’m looking forward to reading this, as I don’t know too much about Darkseid, but I know he may be playing a big role in the upcoming films.

3 – Superman in Action Comics – Annual 1996 Comic – Issue 8
I love the annual comics! More stories and longer comics! I’m trying to get as many of these as I can so I can put them in order and finally read a series straight through! This is my 3rd in this series.

4 – Superman Quick Shots Play Set
Not a comic, but another steal from a car boot sale! Unopened, unused, perfect condition – even the box! All for £6.00. I admit I’ve never heard of Quick Shots before, but it sure makes a great addition to my collection.

5,6,7 – Superman Action Comics – Issue 845, 849 and The New 52 Issue 15.
I bought these as a set from EBay, another great place for things like this. Again I’m just trying to get as many as I can in a series so I can read straight through. I love the artwork on these though, especially in issue 845 (far left).

8 – Man of Steel 3D Blu-Ray DVD
Now this is probably the 5th Man of Steel that I have…Not sad at all… But the cover on this is AMAZING. I don’t have a 3D TV, so I’ll never be able to truly watch it on this disc but it’s worth having in my Superman collection! A distant relative of mine messaged me on FaceBook to say that he had a Superman DVD, which if I didn’t want it, he was going to throw away! I couldn’t live with myself knowing that it was going to be thrown in the bin and gone to waste, so of course I had to take it! 😉
9 – Batman V Superman Figurine – Superman
This was an absolute bargain, £3.00 from The Entertainer whilst they had a sale on. Box in great condition, and I have to say the detailing on the suit is incredible although the figurine is only small. It does say from ages 4+ on it, but I think they missed out the 2 for 24+? Strange.

10 – Hallmark Superman Christmas Decoration – Logo
I am a SUCKER for these! I love everything Hallmark, especially if it’s Superman…. And glittery. This is my second Hallmark Superman Christmas decoration and expect more to come! The only thing that gets in the way is the price and the fact that most of them are in America, so you have to pay extra shipping to get them to the UK and in decent condition. I can’t wait to have this hanging from my Christmas tree this year!

11 – Eaglemoss DC Comics Graphic Novel Collection – JLA and The Flash.
I have a subscription for these with Eaglemoss Collections, and I have to say, I LOVE getting these through the post every other week. Also for signing up you get limited edition gifts, which are also cool! Not all of them are Superman, but most do feature him.

12 – Superman Annual from 1979
I cannot believe the condition that this is in, especially considering it’s 38 years old! It’s amazing. It even has that old book smell! I somehow got this for £2.50 on EBay. Amazing.

13 – Superman IV: The Quest For Peace Comic – A DC Movie Special
This comic accompanies Superman IV, I haven’t read it just yet, but it is on my list! Also in great condition.

14 – Superman Vol 2 Comic – Issue 399
I got the following comics in a bundle from EBay. The guy I brought them from accidentally sent them to the wrong address and ended up sending me a “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” DVD, which I have to admit – I was disappointed to get instead of these. Luckily the person who had actually bought the DVD sent them back to me, and vice versa.

15 – DC Comics Presents: Superman and the Forgotten Villains – Issue 78.
This is one of the first DC Comics Presents Comics that I have! I love them, they all look so vintage!

16 – World’s Finest Comics starring Superman and Batman – Issue 314
Again, like the comic above, this is one of the first World’s Finest Comics that I have. Again I love the old school feel to it, especially the old school Batman logo!

17 – Superman in Action Comics – Annual 1989 Issue 2
I have to say, I love the cover! Look how BADASS Superman looks! Cannot wait to read this.

18 – Superman Vol 1- Issue 416
Another cool cover! I love the 70’s & 80’s covers the most and their vintage feel. This comic is from 1986 and is still in great condition! It’s crazy to think that most of my Superman collection is actually older than I am.

19 – DC Comics Presents: Superman and Green Arrow – Issue 20
One of my favourite covers! I love both Supes and also Green Arrow. I admit I didn’t know they had a comic series together until I found this! Must. Have. The. Whole. Series.

20 – World’s Finest Comics: Superman & Batman – Issue 318
Spamming the blog post with comics! This is from 1985, again in great condition considering its age! Very retro feel to it, which I love.

21 – DC Comics Presents: Superman and Robin – The Teen Wonder – Issue 31
I love the team up comics! As you can probably tell, I went a bit crazy this month with getting them. Oh well – here’s to more!

22 – Superman Vol 1 – Issue 422
WOW. Just look at this cover! Savage! The black and white colours just make it stand out even more, especially with the red eyes.

23 – Superman Vol 1 – Issue 343

24 – Superman Hot Wheels Car
I have a few Hot Wheels cars and now I have this one. Bought from The Entertainer (UK Store) during a sale, I got this for just £2.00. This was the last one in the store I was in, so I had to get it. Even though the plastic casing for the car is a little cracked.

25 – Superman Water Gun
Suns out, guns out! This is only from a £1.00 store in the UK, but nether the less it is a great part of my Superman collection! I’m going to have to get myself another so I can actually use it!

26 – Superman Floral Tee
It isn’t often you find a girly Superman tee, so when I do, I have just have to get it. Just like any other Superman item… This was from Primark and only £3.00.

After doing a final count up of my Superman collection so far, this makes it 961 strong. That’s individual items and whole sets (not counting the items that I have more than once). And I’m not going to stop there!
Check out my latest Superman collection update here!
Congratulations on this recent haul! Quite fitting that you acquired the Superman IV: The Quest for Peace comic adaptation since this month marks the 30th anniversary of the film. Looking forward to your next Superman collectibles post!
Good timing! Don’t worry there will be many more! Thanks for following 😊
