REVIEW: Justice League vs The Legion Of Super-Heroes #2
Justice League vs the Legion of Superheroes #2 continues Bendis’ revival of his Legion run, giving us more fun character interactions, and diving into the origins one of the previous series most interesting characters.
Justice League vs The Legion Of Super-Heroes #2 is here and it’s time for another entry in the epic saga spanning 1,000 years!
But before we get into the issue itself, let’s take a look at the covers. The standard cover is by interior artist Scott Godlewski and depicts the Legion’s Gold Lantern staring at his malfunctioning ring in horror! A telling cover for plot points in the story. The composition on this one is great. The dynamic pose really conveys the emotions and turmoil Gold Lantern is experiencing.
The variant cover is by Travis Moore showcases Hawkgirl and Dawn Star storming towards battle. This is a great action shot and the detail and composition is excellent! What a great duo and timely release on International Womens Day!
Inside Justice League vs The Legion Of Super-Heroes #2, the Justice League is transported to the 31st century, and the origin of the Gold Lantern is explored! The plot doesn’t feel like it moves very far, but the conversations between these characters make it well worth your time anyway, the interactions are super fun.
Brian Michael Bendis continues to make this series feel like a straight-up continuation of his cancelled Legion run, and Scott Godlewski’s art and the colours by Ryan Cody make it LOOK that way too! Plus, bonus: Kelex makes an appearance this issue!
