McFarlane Toys brings both a Superman and a notable DC villain to the Gold Label Collection as pre-orders start for the new DC Multiverse Superboy-Prime Patina figure. Don’t let the texture fool you, this 7″ figure still has all the points of articulation and uses the same mold from McFarlane’s original action figure.
Clark Kent always found it funny that he had the same name and looked like his favorite comic book superhero. One Halloween, he dressed up as Superman and not only discovered he could fly but was also visited by Superman himself telling him that he was, in fact, the Superman of his (our) Earth. Superboy-Prime possesses none of Superman’s traditional weaknesses and, after the initial Crisis on Infinite Earths, grew madly unsatisfied with how the universes he had come to love were operating after being trapped for so long. Thus began, Infinite Crisis.
Here’s a look at the figure:
The Superboy-Prime Patina edition action figure dons the Anti-Monitor’s armor here in the role of a multiversal threat. This figure can be posed as a statue like the patina paint suggests or posed like any other one in the Multiverses series. It includes an exclusive card, stand, and base along with a certificate of authenticity. It’s really a McFarlane Toys card and DC-themed base like no other.
Pre-orders for $29.99 have begun exclusively on McFarlane Toys’ website and are expected to ship out next month in August.
