‘DC Heroes United’, An Interactive Streaming Series Unveiled at SDCC
One of the last DC announcements at SDCC was the launch of ‘DC Heroes United’. Superman and the Justice League unite for not a show or a game, but an interactive streaming episodes where the viewers’ decisions will branch off into their own canon.
The trailer from Genvid features high-octane animated action featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and more. Batman and Superman won’t be fighting in this adventure, but rather Superman and Wonder Woman. On social media, Chris Hackney said that he was humbled to join the ranks of voice actors who have voiced the Man of Steel. Here’s the official preview that was released at SDCC:
According to Genvid, the series takes place on the new Earth-212, where Superman only operates to the point where no one sees him, Batman isn’t that much different in the shadows, and Wonder Woman works for ARGUS. Lex Luthor also has a role in the story, whether that’s good or evil is one of the many things up to the viewer.
As well as episodes being released weekly later this year on the DC Heroes United App, a game on the same app will also be updated weekly with the viewer’s choice information which will also impact the games. It’s a new unique experience that combines watching a show and playing a video game.
You can pre-register for the game right now on the ‘DC Heroes United’ website.
