POP! Covers Action Comics #644 Coming Soon From Funko
Superman started the POP! Covers line from Funko with Action Comics #1 and now, the second Action Comics POP! Cover has been revealed with a cover being referenced that no one saw coming with the Action Comics #644 POP!.
The shadowy figure in the alley of Metropolis is actually not Superman, but a doppelganger villain Matrix thinking that he is the Man of Steel and seeks to replace the real one. This issue was written by comic legends Roger Stern and George Perez with Perez and Brett Breeding doing the art in 1989. Despite this homage from Funko, Action Comics #644 is extremely easy to get unlike Action Comics #1. This issue can be found for the same cost as a comic book today. Still, the cover by Perez and Breeding looks cool with what they do with shadows which is why it made the Funko cut.
The Action Comics #644 Pop! Comic Cover is available for pre-order from online retailers for $25.00. As the Funko website does not do pre-orders, one can be notified for when the item releases.
