Detailed Images of Superman’s Suit Emerge From NBA Promo
The NBA had a promo for Superman this week with James Gunn, David Corenswet, and Shaq. Here, the suit is quite literally on full display as Shaq himself takes us through all the details of the suit we’ve been seeing in pictures and trailers and what it’s really made of.
The internet was quick is save the screenshots of the best quality images of the suit’s finer touches. In what looks to be Shaq’s trip to DC Studios, we see the chest, arms, belt, and shoulders of the suit. As it would turn out, the belt does in fact look around it. It’s no tight-fitting body suit like Henry Cavill’s or a fabric one like Christopher Reeve’s. In fact, it looks to be a blend of the two by emphasising straight segments.
The material, upon closer inspection, looks to be rubbery like a basketball (funny enough). The small sections of wrinkles show that it doesn’t totally suffocate the wearer either. I can personally take or leave the blue borders on the torso and arms –the bold blue would complement the suit as a whole. The industry is taking baby steps, but it’s learning that simplified superhero suits are appealing to audiences and always have been.
