Last weekend at ComicsPRO, DC and Marvel confirmed that the two were teaming up for a new series of crossover comics!

DC Editor-In-Chief, Marie Janvins and Marvel Editor-In-Chief, CB Cebulski joined forces during a panel to announce a new crossover between the two comic book publishers. The crossovers are set to release later this year and will be official titled ‘Marvel/DC’ (for those published by Marvel) and ‘DC/Marvel’ (for those published by DC), it has been confirmed that there will be two one-shots.

Following the two crossover omnibuses that were published last year between Marvel and DC, the pair stated that they really enjoyed working together. Whilst the comics covered in the previous omnibuses were very much of their time and are deemed classics at this point, this will be a modern crossover. As it stands there is no official word on who the creators or characters that will be involved are, but it is very exciting and likely to be heroes and/or villains that haven’t crossed over before. There were apparently teases at the convention that Janvins were eyeing up a Bat-Mite/Punished crossover, but this will likely be on a much bigger scale.

The DC x Marvel crossover is expected to release later this year and I’m looking forward to seeing who and what is involved. Who would you like to see meet?
