DC Announce ‘Supergirl’s Family Vacation’ YA Graphic Novel
Just in time for her 2026 movie premiere, DC Comics is creating a new Supergirl 160 page digest-sized graphic novel for middle-grade audiences. Entitled ‘Supergirl’s Family Vacation’, writer Brandon T. Snider confirmed via social media the intended May 2026 release of the graphic novel. Illustrated by Sarah Leuver the promotional cover art pays tribute to the movie poster of the 1987 film ‘Adventures in Babysitting’.

‘Supergirl’s Family Vacation’ introduces readers to a pre-teen Kara who excels at superheroics while maintaining perfect homework scores. The story follows Kara as she plans a summer trip to Argo with Clark and her bestie Natasha Irons. Of course nothing is ever that simple with The El family and she soon finds herself sidelined during a crisis that’s only a job for Superman. Frustrated over a ruined vacation and being left behind on an unknown planet, Kara and Natasha’s adventure has only just begun.
Described as a fresh take on Supergirl, this is sure to be entertaining to new readers and appeal to older fans at the same time. 2025 is the year of Superman, but 2026 may end up being the year of Supergirl!
‘Supergirl’s Family Vacation’ is set for release on 5th May 2026.
