Justice League Unlimited #11 acts as a prelude to ‘DC K.O’ and each and every issue so far has well and truly lead to this. There are so many good things happening in comics for DC right now, I can’t wait to see how it all pans out.

But before we get into the issue itself, let’s take a look at the covers! The main cover is by Dan Mora and perfectly captures the absolute chaos that goes on in this very issue. As always with Dan Mora there is not a single detail spared and the fiery colour palette really adds to the horror of what’s going on. It’s safe to say that Mora knows how to create an eye catching cover.

REVIEW: Justice League Unlimited #11

Nathan Szerdy’s variant brings us another duo – Power Girl and The Question. I really love the detail on this cover, the hair texture and skin texture is great as the pair showcase their iconic poses. I’m looking forward to seeing more duos’s from the artist.

REVIEW: Justice League Unlimited #11

The variant by Kevin Wada, is actually my favourite of the bunch. The atmospheric colours sed in the background are just beautiful and I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not, but it also seems to represent fire, the element in which Martian Manhunter is scared of. Speaking of Martian Manhunter, this portrait of him is stunning, the details are stellar.

REVIEW: Justice League Unlimited #11

There are also variants available by Homare, Scott Kolins and Leonardo Romero.

Justice League Unlimited #11 opens up right where we left off as Mr Terrific goes up against a bunch of Parademons, he is seriously outnumbered and unfortunately cannot get help as there are multiple catastrophes happening at the same time… the Justice League are certainly BUSY! Other members are fighting their own battles or fighting to save the life of the Time Trapper, who they desperately need to succeed in this mission. Some members succeed and some get seriously hurt which just re-enforces the stakes at hand here.

Power Girl, Geo-Force and Cajebb find some sort of black hole that is trying to lure them into it, it seems it releases either their madness or dark side. Whilst the hole does its best to get them into its traps, the team escape to report back to the Watchtower, or what’s left of it. They aren’t the only ones to make a discovery as Mr Terrific finds out the hard way that these Parademons aren’t as mindless as usual. In this issue we get to see the league fighting all over the world, quite literally. There is so so much going on and it’s safe to say this is one exciting issue that is full of classic comic book tropes.

The interior art is by Carmine Giandomenico, with colours by Tamra Bonvillain, and letters by Ariana Maher. The artwork is fantastic as always, like I said there is a lot going on in this issue, but absolutely no detail is spared. We see a bunch of different chracters, a bunch of different atmospheres and locations and a whole lot of action and it is NAILED.

(9/10) Whilst things start to go from chaos to calm in Justice League Unlimited #11 as the team somehow manage to say the day, we know as readers what it’s leading towards and it can only go downhill from here.
