DC Comics Confirm Release Date For ‘Superman/Spider-Man #1’
DC Comics have finally confirmed the official release date or ‘Superman/Spider-Man #1’! The issue will see legendary creators take on the Man Of Tomorrow and Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man to celebrate 50 years of DC/Marvel crossovers!
The issue will include eight new original stories from some of DC’s top talent, and includes a main cover by Jorge Jiménez. DC have also revealed the creative teams behind this landmark issue and I have to tell you, the list is incredible and they are all tackling a range of characters, not just big blue and Spidey!
- For the main story we have Mark Waid teaming up with Jorge Jiménez.
- Tom King and Jim Lee will be teaming up to tell a tale of Lois Lane and Mary Jane Watson.
- Matt Fraction will team up with Steve Lieber to revisit Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen… and Carnage.
- Sean Murphy will takes us to the future with Superboy (Legion) and Spider-Man 2099
- Greg Ruck and Nicola Scott will take us on an exciting race between the Daily Planet and The Daily Bugle.
- Gail Simone will tea up with Belén Ortega to show us what happens when Power Girl meets The Punisher.
- Rafa Sandoval and Jeff Lemire will take us deep into the past to see Pa Kent and Uncle Ben bond in the face of adversity,
- Christopher Priest and Daniel Sampere will show us what happens when Superboy Prime visits Spider-Man right after he got his black suit.

When journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker find themselves chasing the same story, the conspiracy they uncover could change the world—especially if Brainiac and Doctor Octopus have anything to say about it.(And we bet they do!)
