DC & Marvel Share Details On Upcoming ‘Spider-Man/Superman’ Crossover
DC Comics and Marvel are teaming up yet again to being us another iconic crossover, ‘Spider-Man/Superman #1’. This title will be a separate issue to the one that has already been announced by DC and features an all new creative lineup!
Brad Meltzer and artist Pepe Larraz will take on the lead story, which will pin Superman and Spider-Man against Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn as their greatest villains exploit some of their greatest weaknesses. But that’s not all DC and Marvel have in store, fans have so much more to get excited about. There will also be various bonus stories by iconic creatives that feature both Marvel and DC Characters related to Spider-Man and Superman. Here’s a breakdown of the characters involved and the creative teams that are bringing their stories to life:
- Spider-Man Noir encounters the original Golden Age Superman in a story written by Dan Slott, with art by Marcos Martin.
- Geoff Johns is set to return to Marvel after 20 years, teaming up with Gary Frank. In this story a crisis ensues bringing families of both Superman and Spider-Man together at the summons of Mysterio.
- Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman is set to take on characters including Symbiote, Jane Foster as Might Thor, Wonder Woman and more as Symbiote hoards invade Metropolis and a new War of the Realms ignite!
- Louise Simonson and artist Todd Nauck bring us a story that sees Steel, AKA John Henry Irons take on Hobgoblin
- Writer Joe Kelly and artist Humberto Ramos bring us a campus crossover featuring Gwen Stacey and Lana Lang.
- Co-Creator of Miles Morales, Brian Michael Bendis teams up with artist Sara Pichelli for a brand new story!
- Marvel/DC are promising more surprises to be announced along the way…
