Reports claim that there is a brand new Superman film on the way from Warner Bros.
In a report from Deadline, the website confirms that a Superman reboot is on the way with Ta-Nehisi Coates as a writer and J.J. Abrams as a producer. It is said that he will be producing the newly announced film under his Bad Robot label. It’s safe to say any Superman fan is hyped about this film, but sadly there isn’t much more information confirmed or announced than that.
As it stands there is no plot, director or cast confirmed, though fans are hopeful that Henry Cavill will return. There are several site that are reporting that the film will see a recast Superman and supporting characters, but there is nothing confirmed yet.
Personally, I am very excited to see that Superman is getting another solo film, whether it’s a reboot or not. Both names currently attached to the film (Abrams & Coates) are renowned in their respective fields, so I am sure the character is in great hands.
Though, as you may know I am a huge fan of Henry Cavill’s Superman and would absolutely love for him to don the cape again. With that said, if it is a new cast, I will fully embrace them and this new portrayal of Superman, as I hope the rest of the fans will.
There are rumours that Coates will introduce a black Superman, after the writer confirmed that the rumours regarding his Superman film were true via Instagram.
