Here’s a look at the announcement:
PAGE PUNCHERS! Brand NEW line coming in 2022! Comic & figure for $9.99.

There is also a Superman ‘Page Puncher’ that features the Patrick Gleason, Mike Gray, and John Kalisz’s cover to the Rebirth era Superman #1 and the action figure appears to be in his New 52 outfit. If the cover is any indication of the story inside, the comic is a nice jumping-on point for new readers to the current continuity of the world of Superman. Peter Tomasi did an excellent job establishing Jon Kent as a character in this story arc, not to mention Lois and Clark as parents.
Being no stranger to the world of toy making, McFarlane shows off a more simple yet durable design to the action figures on his announcement video. The points of articulation give the figures an ’80’s retro feel that’s sure to attract the attention of toy collectors. Using plastic for the capes indicates to me these figures where built to be handled and played with as well.
Not only would these ‘Page Punchers’ be a nice display piece in any collection, the added appeal of using these as an introduction to reading comics makes the $9.99 price point worth every penny.
Sadly, an official release date has yet to be announced by McFarlane Toys, and there is currently no indication of where they’ll be available for purchase. But we do know that they are set to release sometime this year and are priced at $9.99.
It’s safe to say that these ‘Page Punchers’ looks like a great introduction for new fans and an attractive edition for more seasoned collectors, including myself!
