There have been SO many rumours surrounding ‘Superman: Legacy’ ever since its first announcement. From who will play the title character, who from the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ cast will have a role, the list is endless, but many of those rumours have quickly been either debunked or confirmed.
The latest rumour circling the internet is that Krypto The Superdog will make an appearance in the upcoming film. In a new interview by ‘The Toronto Sun‘ for the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ press tour, there have been hints that this rumour may turn out to be true.
In the interview, Writer and Director of ‘Superman: Legacy’, James Gunn jokes that he will pay Chris Pratt in Cypto currency, to which Pratt replies “It sounds like there’s going to be a character called Krypto in Superman – breaking news!“. The interview then replies “That’s a scoop for me?“, to which Gunn replies “It is a scoop, I guess“.
Personally, I think if it wasn’t true, James Gunn would shut down the rumour immediately, just as he has done with all of the others. So this rather positive response really gives me hope that we will see Krypto The Superdog in the film. Krypto in my opinion is one of the most under-utilised members of the Superman family and as a huge dog lover, I would LOVE to see him on the big screen.
‘Superman: Legacy’ is set for release on 11th July 2025 and it CANNOT come quick enough!
