This is a four issue series, set to release on 2nd July and will be written by Mark Waid, with art by Dan Mora – the pair are currently both working on the ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest‘ series which has been stellar.

It will show how Waller will use the strategic and military might of Failsafe and the otherworldly technology of the Brainiac Queen to steal all metahuman abilities from every super hero and super-villain around the globe, a threat so dire it will take the combined efforts of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Super Heroes of the DC Universe to defeat it.

Here’s a look at the cover for ‘Absolute Power #1‘ and ‘Absolute Power: Ground Zero‘, the official one-shot prelude comic book, which is set to debut in June:

To give fans a little taste of what’s to come, DC have released the title for the ‘surprise’ issue for Free Comic Book Day 2024, this 32- page issue features an original 12 page story by Waid with art by Mikel Janín. It also gives a recap of the events that lead up to this title along with a preview of the first issue. It is titled ‘2024 Absolute Power Free Comic Book Day Special Edition‘, which will be release on 4th May.
