DC & The Hero Initiative Team Up To Release ‘The Superman 100 Project’

DC Comics and The Hero Initiative have teamed up to release ‘The Superman 100 Project‘! For those not aware The Hero Initiative is a charity which helps comic book creators with financial and medical needs and they have now teamed up with DC to celebrate Superman, the first and greatest superhero.

In 2023, DC produced blank card stock variants of Superman #6 and with that The Hero Initiative asked 100 top artists to do their own original drawings on them, thus resulting in ‘The Superman 100 Project’, a collection of original sketch covers in a trade paperback book.

The project will feature sketch covers by Kevin Eastman, José Luis García-López, Ed McGuinness, Alan Davis, Dan Jurgens, Frank Quitely, Frank Miller, just to name a few! It will feature all of the original art, as well as a special behind the scenes section which showcases the development of key pieces and more.

The original sketch covers are set to be auctioned off starting from October and a limited edition hardcover will also be available directly from Third Eye Comics and Hero Initiative. DC have announced that there will be only ONE printing of this book EVER, so this really is a special project and piece to add to any Superman fans collection. ‘The Superman 100 Project‘ is set for release on 18th December.
