McFarlane Toys Starts Pre-Orders For Girls’ Night Out Figure Pack 

Girls’ Night Out was a special episode of ‘The New Batman Adventures’ because it didn’t feature Batman at all. Instead, Batgirl teams up with Supergirl to take on the trio of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Livewire to save Gotham in what was now the established DCAU with Batman and Superman finally crossing over from their respective series. Now, McFarlane Toys has started exclusive pre-orders through Amazon for a special three-figure Gold Label pack featuring Supergirl, Poison Ivy, and Livewire. 

McFarlane Toys does in fact have a The New Batman Adventures line with figures on their own or part of Gold Label sets to boost your collection. Batgirl is already available, so it makes sense for the rest of the leading ladies of the early DCAU to make their way on the line. The figures nail the slim proportions of Bruce Timm’s art style while also allowing for balance and articulation along with some accessories and interchangeable parts. 

While we have yet to get a ‘Superman: The Animated Series’ line, Supergirl, and Livewire are a welcome unofficial start to it. The cool part about how they appeared in ‘The New Batman Adventures’ is that they are straight out of the Superman series with no changes to their designs. Meanwhile, Batman and his villains saw some redesigns in the new adventures. Poison Ivy would have green skin and simpler in line with the new style which is reflected in the figure. 

All three figures come with sets of interchangeable hands and Livewire even includes a lightning blast attachment. What is especially unique about McFarlane Toys’ The New Batman Adventures line is that they include reproduced animation cels from the show. This set includes three for each character. 

The Gold Label Girls’ Night Out figure three-pack is available for pre-order for $59.99 with a release date of October 1.
