Eve Ridley Cast As Ruthye In ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’
With ‘Superman’ in post production and edging closer to its release, DC is focusing efforts towards ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”.
To that end, it was recently announced actress Eve Ridley has been cast as Ruthye Marye Knoll, the young alien protagonist that sets Kara on her quest to hunt down Krem of the Yellow Hills. Having primarily been voice acting on a few children’s shows, Ridley has received some acclaim for her part in Netflix’s “3 Body Problem” series. ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ will be her theatrical debut and hopefully the sky will be limitless for her career afterward. Eve Ridley joins Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills and Milly Alcock as Supergirl.
With the last of the major characters in place, DC has also announced filming for the new Supergirl movie is set to begin in January 2025. Director Craig Gillespie will be taking the cast and crew to the UK for the initial shooting. It’s good to see the studio moving forward without relying on the success of ‘Superman’ to drive their interest in the making of this new DCEU.
‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow‘ has a projected release for June 2026.
