DC & Max Launch ‘DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast’
DC Comics, DC Studios and Max have teamed up to bring us brand new unscripted video podcast called ‘DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast’.
The podcast is set to debut on 6th December and will be hosted by Frankey Smith and Tyler Coates, who will be joined by on-air comic correspondent Coy Jandreau. This is a biweekly series that will deep-dive into the history of DC and keep fans up to date with the future of DC.
“The Max podcast team is committed to creating new ways to immerse fans deeper into our iconic IP and programming,” said Becky Rho, Senior Director of Podcast Production at HBO and Max. “This exciting new podcast allows us to partner with DC and DC Studios to create a platform that offers the fandom a never-before-seen look at all-things DC, as well as an in-depth look into the minds, insights and experiences of the key figures shaping the DC Universe.”
From exclusive interviews with DCU creators, filmmakers, and talent to recurring comic segments, each episode will feature a dynamic range of programming, with commentators Smith, Coates and Jandreau combining their unique insight, strong perspectives, and rapid-fire wit to deliver commentary that will be fun, engaging and accessible to podcast audiences everywhere, whether longtime fans or those discovering the DCU for the first time.
Video will be available to stream on Max and YouTube, with new episodes releasing every other Friday, and an audio-only format anywhere you get your podcasts.
