Mattel Inc Wins Global Licensing Rights For DC Studios

Mattel has won the global licensing rights for DC. It was confirmed earlier this month that Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products is moving from McFarlane Toys to Mattel Inc, the deal is expected to take affect in 2026. This deal will allow them to develop and market a full range of merchandise which is set to include action figures, accessories, role play products, playsets and adult collectibles. It has also been confirmed the feature all DC properties which include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Joker, Harley Quinn and many more.

Both Mattel and Warner Bros. are excited to celebrate DC’s new chapter with new merchandise, Robert Oberschelp, Head of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products stated “Warner Bros. Personally, whilst I adore McFarlane Toys’ products, it is very exciting to see what Mattel can do with the properties and as DC Studios’ first release ‘Superman’ is coming up soon, I’m sure we will hear more about this partnership very soon.
