Funko Releases First Look at Superman: Lois & Clark Funko POP!
Funko gave a look this week at the latest Superman POP! Not for the upcoming movie, but rather right out of the pages of Dan Jurgen’s Lois & Clark limited series. It joins the POP! Heroes’ series as #557 and the box includes Superman-exclusive branding.
It would turn out that Superman and Lois survived the creation of The New 52 and would live in secret within the new universe until Rebirth. At the same time, it would also lead up to the birth of Jon Kent. Clark would only go out as Superman in secret in the black suit until finally meeting New 52 Superman in his final days. This POP! reflects that design with an added bonus detail of breaking chains. It looks like it will also be a flying figure on a stand. The figure mold may or may not be a reuse of an older Superman one, but the new details make it seem like a whole new one.
As a special edition figure, this Lois & Clark Funko POP! also gets Funko’s new authentication sticker with a scannable bar code. Items can be input into a verified digital list through Octane5. Unlike the usual stickers for conventions or exclusives, these ones can’t be replicated.
It’s been announced that this Superman: Lois & Clark Funko POP! will be a Target retail exclusive. No pre-orders or release date has gone live yet, but it can be assumed retail for this POP! will be around $15.99.
