Spirit Jersey Releases Superman Clothing Collaboration
Just in time for Superman Day, pop culture apparel maker based in New Jersey, Spirit Jersey did a collaboration with DC for some of their biggest characters – Superman was no exception. This brand new Superman range features four shirts that are truly different in style.
The Krypton Born, Earth Raised shirt is for those who are a fan of the bold Superman aesthetic with red as the only color option and Bronze Age space-themed art of Superman flying amongst the planets and stars with in a splashy way on the back with a simple, black emblem on the front. The Kryptonese on the arm is a really cool touch.
The Superman & The Daily Planet shirt is for those that enjoy the darkness that a Batman shirt usually offers but applied to the Man of Steel. These usually use dark blue and deep red colors instead of the bold ones he’s usually known for –and it works. The front of the shirt features a small version of the hard looking design set to the emblem while the back shows the full sized one.
The Krypton to Earth shirt mixes graffiti art with retro comics for a really urban feeling shirt. The dye pattern on the shirt alone is nice but put a Silver Age Superman set to a graffiti-like typeface makes it even wilder. The back features old comic art of outer space exploits set to a sky blue and orange-red palette. Definitely, the most unique of the four.
The fourth shirt is simply Action Comics #1 for all the classic fans out there. The front could’ve had the spearhead emblem, but uses the modern one. Still, the full print of Joe Shuster’s iconic comic book cover that gave new life to the whole industry – and world.
