Gaylord Hotels Team Up With DC for ‘DC Summer’
Gaylord Hotels are teaming up with DC Comics for their ‘DC Summer’, their themed event is set to start from 23rd May through to 1st September and I have to say, it looks pretty damn SUPER!
‘DC Summer’ will be in participating hotels only, which include; Gaylord Opryland, Gaylord Palms, Gaylord Rockies and Gaylord Texan. In those locations guests will be able to bring their superhero dreams to live in their exciting collaboration with DC Comics. You can step into a world where you don’t just stay overnight, you don’t just visit, you become part of the adventure.
Exclusive to the Gaylord Texan, guests can enjoy the ‘Universe Of Light’, which is the first EVER DC Super Hero Lantern Shows in the US. The ‘Universe Of Light’ is a performance which sees towering DC Super Heroes, epic battles and glowing interactive elements come to life in a stunning lantern spectacle. It is crafted with traditional techniques and LED technology featuring characters such as; Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. It even features a life-sized lantern Batmobile, a Fortress Of Solitude and a Hero’s Walk Of Fame where DC Super Heroes are waiting for unforgettable photo moments.
Guests will also be able to splash into action for their poolside celebration which is packed with games, DC trivia, waterslides and DJ-spun beats. You can even relax by the water sipping superhero specialty cocktails such as the Amazonian Freeze and Metropolis Chill whilst you soak in the fun. Not only that but the pool can be your front row seat, where you can watch your favourite heroes come to life on the big screen, with themed snacks and fellow fans all around.
Guests can then pick up their very own hero badge at check-in, complete challenges around the resort and then if you complete the DC Super Heroes Mission Checklist, you can earn your very own official Superhero Certificate upon checking out. Not only that but there is plenty of other DC themed activities, including the Revenge Of The Ridder Scavenger Hunt, the Battle For Justice Light Show and the DC Super Hero Academy Live Show.
There will also be Hall Of Justice character dining with Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman, which is only available in Gaylord Palms, Gaylord Opryland and Gaylord Rockies. For Gaylord Texan, guests can dine with Gotham’s Finest – Joker and Harley Quinn! You can even use code words to access special hero-inspired meals and drinks.
