Mondo Release ‘Superman’ Original Motion Picture Vinyl Record

Mondo, a Funko company specializing in higher end collectibles and vinyl records, has started pre-orders for the vinyl release of DC Studios’ Superman Original Motion Picture Soundtrack as a double LP with 2x All-Star Red and Blue vinyl. Not only does John Murphy and David Fleming’s score, with John Williams’ Superman theme reimagined, sound great but the Mondo Superman vinyl looks great too. 

Mondo Music had also done a release for Superman: The Movie, it seemed only natural for them to do the newest film by James Gunn. The front album cover features a snippet of the theatrical poster while the back is Superman and Krypto on the moon with the track listing. 

The double pocket gatefold opens to the entrance to the Fortress of Solitude straight from the film and even includes a Daily Planet front page featuring another still from the movie. The blue and red records couldn’t be more fitting, and options are offered for All-Star or solid colorations. 

The Mondo Superman Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2XLP is available to pre-order on Mondo’s website for $55 and is expected to ship in October.
