DC Studios’ ‘Man of Tomorrow’ Confirmed For July 9, 2027
That didn’t take long at all! Head of DC Studios, James Gunn announced that the follow up to Superman, ‘Man of Tomorrow’, will be releasing in theaters on July 9, 2027. Gunn broke the news on social media with an illustration of Superman and Lex Luthor (in his power armor!) by DC Comics legends Jim Lee, Jorge Jimenez and Mitch Gerads.

DC Studios has currently begun filming Clayface with Supergirl slated for a May release next year. Gunn had said that Superman would appear in various projects in a supporting role, so the announcement of a fully-fledged follow up came suddenly.
David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult are naturally returning as Superman and Lex Luthor based on this illustration. It’s unknown how much of the cast from the first film will return or whether Gunn will be directing. But one thing is for sure, keep looking up!
