Joshua Williamson To Pen A Brand New ‘The Legion Of Super-Heroes’ Comic Series

Back at New York Comic Con, it was confirmed that Joshua Williamson will be writing a comic series that bring back ‘The Legion Of Super-Heroes’ and after his work with Superboy Prime in the current ‘Superman’ series, it’s something that I cannot wait to read!

At the panel at the convention, DC announced a range of new comic book series that are set to launch in March 2026 as part of their ‘DC Next Level’ initiative and this title is set to be one of them. In recent years, many feel that the Legion have been swept under wraps, with occasional story arcs in recent series, now with their own series it really gives these characters a chance to shine and also for DC’s new audiences to be introduced to them.

It is rumoured that Joshua Williamson also reached out to Mark Waid to get his blessing to write the series and these characters in particular, in which Mark Waid replied “It was always going to be you”.

There is no official release date as of yet for Williamson’s upcoming ‘The Legion Of Super-Heroes’ comic series, but it is expected to release around March 2026.
