McFarlane Toys Superman: The Movie Deluxe Theatrical Edition Coming Soon

McFarlane Toys is releasing another Superman ’78 figure that will be available for preorder in March. This is one is advertised as the Deluxe Theatrical edition and while the DC Multiverse figure mold isn’t any different, the smiling head is a new addition. Since this is the first look, anything else the figure may come with has yet to be revealed.

That ending scene of Superman flying above the Earth just before the end isn’t just a great shot in comic book movies, it’s one up there in movie history. This figure may have been made with the entire movie in mind; perhaps the kryptonite necklace or Fortress of Solitude crystal may be included. As great as this figure is, there are more questions than answers.

I am glad that McFarlane has moved to felt capes. That truly makes all the difference, especially with wires inside for posing. More than likely, they’ll be plenty of interchangeable hands.
