DC Comics announce ‘From Comic to Screen: The Art Of Supergirl’ Hardcover Book

Ahead of the upcoming ‘Supergirl’ movie release, DC Comics have announced ‘From Comic to Screen: The Art Of Supergirl’, a hardcover book. It is set to offer fans an in depth look at the creative journey at the eight-issue comic series ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ and how it takes the leap from comic series to film.

This deluxe hardcover edition will feature details on the journey of how the filmmakers were inspired to bring it to live on film and will feature concept art and visuals from the upcoming film. It will also feature interviews with the comic series creators and also the filmmakers to explore the entire process through to the production of the film.

The book will be 224-pages long and is written by James Field and will feature an introduction from DC Studios and an afterword by Jim Lee. As mentioned it explains the transformation of comic book series to film adaptation, with behind-the-scenes insights and never before seen production designs. This will act as a companion book and is also designed as a collector’s edition. Not only that but the hardcover also features brand new artwork by Bilquis Evely and Matheus Lopes, which gives us a first look at their take on Milly Alcock as Supergirl.

‘From Comic to Screen: The Art Of Supergirl’ is set to release on 29th September and will retail for $49.99. It is currently up for pre-order right now from Amazon and will also be available from local booksellers.
