New Superman HeroClix Collection Coming Soon

It’s amazing how NECA has kept HeroClix running after WizKids were closed by their owners since 2009. Since its debut in 2002, almost 25 years ago, there is about 750 million figures and game pieces. It gets its name from its pieces, which are “Clix” with dials on the figure bases that click with each stat change. There’s been original figures, video game ones, and of course, comics.

HeroClix has teased new Superman pieces which include: Superman, Superman Robot, Kelex, the Phantom Zone Projector, The Bottled City Of Kandor, Jor-El and Lara, and Black Mercy.

The idea of Superman having an enormous housekey or one too heavy for anyone else to lift has become a recurring feature when it comes to the Fortress. Its design is fresh out of the Silver Age –a bold, yellow arrow-like key. The grey figure base does not show any stats, so it’s not clear just how powerful this piece will be compared to other Superman ones. One thing is certain, it looks like an anniversary-type release.

HeroClix figures can be bought at local retailers and game shops along with NECA’s website. No release date has been given nor is it clear that this figure is part of a larger set or series.
