First Look at Supergirl Movie Popcorn Buckets
The excitement surrounding DC Studios’ upcoming Supergirl film continues to build as fans now have their first apparent look at themed movie popcorn buckets and drink cups inspired by Milly Alcock’s Kara Zor-El. Images shared across the Internet showcase several collectible theater items that appear to tie directly into the highly anticipated film.
The collectibles feature multiple stylish designs centered around the Girl of Steel. One popcorn bucket prominently displays a black-and-white image of Milly Alcock as Supergirl with the iconic House of El crest blazing across the front in bold red and yellow. Another bucket embraces a darker cosmic look with purple space-inspired artwork and a large Supergirl logo. A matching drink cup featuring the classic Superman shield rounds out the lineup, creating a striking set of theater collectibles for DC fans.

Images of an apparent Lobo-themed popcorn bucket (Lobo on top of his Spacehog, which opens up as a popcorn bucket) have also begun circulating online. With Jason Momoa making his highly anticipated debut as the Main Man in Supergirl, the inclusion of Lobo in the collectible lineup instantly raises the hype factor even higher. The rough, metallic design aesthetic appears to match the gritty cosmic energy surrounding the film and could easily become one of the most sought-after superhero theater collectibles of the year.
What immediately stands out is the tone of the designs. Rather than leaning heavily into bright and colorful imagery, the buckets appear to embrace the rougher, more galactic atmosphere associated with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the critically acclaimed comic book storyline that inspired the film. The aesthetic feels adventurous, emotional and slightly dangerous — fitting for a Kara Zor-El story expected to explore a very different side of the DC Universe.
Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, Supergirl is expected to adapt elements of Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The story reportedly follows Kara on a deeply personal cosmic journey that differs greatly from Clark Kent’s more hopeful upbringing on Earth. That emotional and interstellar tone appears reflected even in the theater merchandise designs being previewed.
At the moment, official pricing, theater availability and preorder details for the collectibles have not been formally announced. The images circulating online are currently being treated as a first look at the promotional items rather than a finalized sales rollout.
