DC Universe Online Releases Shadow Over Argo DLC Featuring Supergirl

To tie-in with Supergirl month, long-time thriving MMO DC Universe Online has released their latest chapter DLC, Shadows Over Argo featuring Supergirl as she races to save Argo City from Sinestro Corps forces. Guest stars include Krypto, Aquaman, and more as well new collectible gear. Like all DC Universe chapters, it’s free to play and hints to be the first entry of a new crisis.

The official synopsis reads, “From the depths of the ocean and the weight of forgotten history, a new crisis rises beneath the waves. Chapter One: Shadows Over Argo begins as the hunt for Kryb leads unlikely allies into the submerged remains of Argo City, the lost Kryptonian sanctuary hidden in the Atlantic. What should have been a relic of Krypton’s past has become a battleground for control, corruption, and warped hope. With Supergirl leading the charge and allies like Aquaman, Mera, Blue Lantern Luzia, and Krypto joining the fight, players must uncover Kryb’s twisted experiments and push back the spreading influence threatening both Atlantean and Kryptonian legacies.”

The new overworld is Sunken Argo City with a new raid (eight player mission), alert (four player mission), and a solo. It looks like the raid and alert are the same level with the alert being designed for smaller players.

The player character cosmetic is suit components of the Might of Krypton Gear inspired by Supergirl #36 from 2014 –looking like space-age Kryptonian explorers. Also included is the Red Daughter of Krypton mask. The launch event runs until the end of the month and gives players a chance these items. The ultimate event reward is a level four ally, one of the highest, of Supergirl.
