Morgan Hampton To Take On Steel In Brand New Ongoing Series

Morgan Hampton is confirmed to write a brand-new Steel ongoing comic series, with the announcement made during the DC’s Metropolis and Beyond panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

I am a huge fan of Steel as a character and whilst they are currently featured in current Superman series (though not prominently), it is so great to see the character get more spotlight. Morgan Hampton has quickly become one of DC’s rising talents, earning praise for his work on Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps. DC has yet to reveal the series’ artist, launch date, or story details and also whether the book will focus on John Henry Irons, Natasha Irons, or both!. More information is expected in the coming months as DC unveils its upcoming publishing plans.

With Morgan Hampton at the helm, anticipation is already building for what promises to be a major new chapter for one of Superman’s greatest allies and personally I think he’s the perfect person for the job and I can’t wait to see more of his take on Steel!
