‘Superman & Lois’ Finds It’s UK Home With The BBC

‘Superman & Lois’ finally has a home in the UK! The show aired earlier this year in the US, with a second series announced and confirmed to release there on 11th January 2022.

The show was a huge success overseas and became somewhat of a phenomenon with Superman fans after receiving such high praise. Well, the UK doesn’t need to wait much longer as ‘Superman & Lois’ is set to air next month on BBC One on Saturday 4th December. Episodes will air weekly, though all episodes will also be added to the BBC iPlayer that very same day.

Here’s what Sue Deeks, Head Of Programme at the BBC had to say: “Superman & Lois is an ambitious and involving new superhero series, one we are sure will intrigue and excite not just existing fans but BBC viewers of all ages.”. Mark Pedowitz from The CW said: “The phenomenal multi-platform debut of Superman & Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment”.

Personally I am so glad that it is taking the prime time slot on a Saturday evening at the BBC. It is likely to bring in new audiences as well as be easily accessible for current fans. It is also very reminiscent of ‘The New Adventures Of Lois & Clark‘ which had a very similar air time on The BBC back in the 90s.

I cannot wait to experience the show all over again.

Superman & Lois premieres on BBC One on Saturday 4th December.
