Details Leaked For Cancelled ‘Scooby Doo! And Krypto Too!’ Animated Film
Recently another crossover was apparently scrapped by the new heads of DC Entertainment which would have featured Krypto the Superdog. Entitled ‘Scooby Doo! and Krypto Too!’, the entire movie was posted online until WB shut it down
The Scooby Doo! franchise has had a rich history of crossing over with various other properties in its long tenure of shows. The Addams Family, The Harlem Globetrotters, Blue Falcon & Dynomut, and Batman & Robin to name a few.
Recently another crossover was apparently scrapped by the new heads of DC Entertainment which would have featured Krypto the Superdog. Entitled ‘Scooby Doo! and Krypto Too!’, the entire movie was posted online until WB shut it down. According to the few who had the chance to watch it, the movie was a finished product, complete with title sequences and score, and not a pirated rerecording.
A Scooby Doo Youtuber, ‘ScoobyVerse‘, had to remove the movie from their channel due to a Copyright Strike but was allowed to keep two of the music tracks uploaded:
The first is the opening title theme;
And the second being the chase sequence, you can listen to that here.
‘ScoobyVerse’ is hopeful the Copyright Strike means the movie is still slated for its 2023 release and hasn’t officially been cancelled.
Whether or not there will ever be a public release of ‘Scooby Doo! and Krypto Too!’, the general consensus of online reactions suggest it was enjoyable and fun for fans of both Scooby Doo and DC Comics. The movie makes several references to past moments in both franchises and lovingly pokes fun at itself for comedic purposes.
With as much positive feedback existing from the unintentional viewing, here’s hoping WB decides to eventually release the film or possibly face another hashtag movement on its behalf. Regardless, this seems like a win/win team-up for both franchises so hopefully the concept of Krypto and Scooby crossing paths isn’t entirely out of the question for future projects.
I was home sick so I had a chance to watch it before it was taken down. It was a finished product and I loved it. So much classic DC.
