Pin Raiders adds to the elusive Superman merchandise collection with the release of their new Clark Kent pin part of the Super Powers line. Lois Lane also joins the line as part of an exclusive pre-order two-pack. As strange as it seems, Clark Kent is just as recognisable as Superman – even if that’s the last thing he wants.
Pin Raiders is known for creating pins with the aesthetic and identity of old 80s and 90s toys in mind. The Super Powers line from DC was a big way the Justice League became mainstream back then with Jack Kirby’s comic series of the same name. The enamel pin features Clark with the definitions of the original action figure and the box modelled after the packaging it came in. All the Super Powers and Superman typography is there to give it that retro feel. The “journalist punch” promo on the front is also a hilarious touch.
Lois Lane’s figure also comes in the same packaging and also boasts some superhuman journalistic abilities. This was the 70s and 80s Lois Lane that Margot Kidder based her performance on. While Superman’s costume usually remains constant, Lois’ suits tend to change the most and be a reflection of the times.
The Clark Kent & Lois Lane pins are priced at $23.00 for the pair. They are available to pre-order now from their website and are expected to ship in August.
