McFarlane Toys announced pre-orders for what may be one of the most collectible Superman figures as a BigBadToyStore exclusive. In fact, this black and red accented Superman figure is limited to only 3,000 pieces and orders have to be limited to one per customer.

Todd McFarlane, himself, showcased the unique collector’s box the figure comes in. Everything about it just screamed Black Label collectible that belongs on a top shelf. The box is decorated with Doug Mahnke’s art from Superman Rebirth #1, also colored in black and red accents. It also comes with a sticker from BigBadToyStore proclaiming that it’s from the one and only lot of 3,000.

The figure uses a similar Superman multiverse build that McFarlane Toys is known for and measures the usual seven-inch scale, but there are some subtle differences like the cape positioning and handling of the belt with the inclusion of the emblem. The black and red accents work perfectly with all the red elements of his suit popping in a unique way. You have to love the red shading by his eyes like a heat vision powering up.

Like all of McFarlane Toy’s DC Multiverse releases, this Superman also comes with a collectible art card, a stand for it, and interchangeable hands. What it does come with that too many other figures come with is a certificate of authenticity if the packaging wasn’t enough.

Pre-orders for this limited edition action figure are available NOW from the BigBadToyStore website.
