DC has announced that the hugely popular comic series ‘Superman ’78‘ is getting a sequel comic series and I could not be happier!
The sequel series is titled ‘Superman ’78: The Metal Curtain’ and will continue to explore the Christopher Reeve era of Superman. With Robert Venditti returning as writer and a new series artist, Gavin Guidry, I am so excited to see where this iconic story continues to go – if the first series was anything to go by, it will be nothing short of spectacular.
DC also released the official synopsis: “When the planet Krypton exploded, its last son was rocketed across the cosmos and came to settle in a small town in Kansas. But what else came with him, and what if a piece of his home landed somewhere we never knew about? As Superman has become a symbol of strength and pride for America, the Soviet Union looks to crush that image with a creation of their own, built by their own might and forged by their own power!”
Here’s a look at the covers for Superman ’78: The Metal Curtain #1:
Interior artist Gavin Guidry will provide the main covers, with variants by Wilfredo Torres, Doug Braithwaite and Adrian Gutierrez.
Superman ’78: The Metal Curtain #1 hits comic stores on 7th November.
More Supergirl stories, please. Thanks!
