My Adventures With Superman Season 2 Gets Trailer and Release Date

Adult Swim and MAX have given a first look at what’s to come in ‘My Adventures With Superman’ Season 2 set for a double premiere at midnight on May 25th and available on the next day on the 26th for streaming on MAX. 

The world and universe of ‘My Adventures With Superman’ is expanding with its unique takes on the Man of Steel lexicon. While we’ll absolutely be joining Clark, Lois, and Jimmy back at the Daily Planet, we’ll also see them take to the stars beyond the planet to find Kara Zor-El. As Jor-El said, there is another like Clark. A young Lex Luthor can also be seen in the trailer, almost akin to how he was in Joshua Williamson’s current Superman run. So, it looks like Supergirl won’t be the only one getting an origin story here. Here’s a look at the trailer:

“The three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money. Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty, and love like never before,” the official synopsis says. 

There’s so much to look forward to with this season especially with Zod being revealed at the end of season 1, and Amanda Waller has really come centerstage as a villain in both TV and comics. Series co-producer and writer Josie Campbell was actually urged not to use big-name villains like Zod, Lex Luthor, or Brainiac in the first season. Moving forward, this was simply not an option. It also looks like Atomic Skull will add to the villain roster in the series after AdultSwim shared an exclusive scene featuring him:

In a September report with BleedingCool.com, Campbell confirmed that seasons 1 and 2 were in production together. Since then, she claims that she and the team have plans for several other seasons. Storyboard artist Brendan Clogher has the huge idea board in his home to keep track of it. 

The future for ”My Adventures With Superman’ could be as bright as its take on Superman. Season 2 promises action and fights with a slightly more experienced Clark as he and his friends grow into their legendary roles. What seemed and began as a fun one-off idea actually becomes a major entry in Superman media and well as the DC Multiverse.
