Superman ‘For Tomorrow’ Funko POP! Comic Cover Gets First Look
Funko has been on a roll with Superman releases in recent months, especially in the Comic Cover line –and fitting since the line had begun with the Action Comics #1 POP! figure. Now, for Superman’s 85th Anniversary, a first look has been revealed for the Amazon Exclusive Superman ‘For Tomorrow’ Comic Cover POP!
Superman #204 in 2004 is one of the most iconic contemporary covers for the Man of Steel with art by Jim Lee and story by Brian Azzarello. The story focused on the mysterious disappearance of one million people in Metropolis while Superman was away in space for a short time. It introduced supporting character Father Daniel Leone and offered an insight on how Clark processes guilt as Superman. And, that’s just the first issue.
It was a matter of time before this cover joined the POP! line. The Superman POP! inside is a rework of the modern Superman mold that Funko uses. There some subtle improvements like the emblem being more defined, the sideways cape blowing, and the building ledge base is a bonus.
Comic Cover POP!s typically sell for $24.99. Retailer exclusive products sell on their sticker listed website as well as the Funko one. So, it’s likely Amazon will start taking pre-orders while Funko.com just releases them.
