Superman & Lois S4, Ep 10, “It Went By So Fast” is the emotional series finale of the beloved show. The episode packs a lot within its last moments without it feeling rushed or disjointed. Being the last of the DC shows from the “Arrowverse” era there’s a definite yet satisfying ending befitting the philosophies Superman has come to embody.

There’s some great action moments to begin with. The fight that began in the previous episode plays out spectacularly in the first half of the show. Everything that this season has been building towards wraps up with this part of the episode as well. A few Easter Eggs of note, the Milton that’s been working for Lex is confirmed to have the last name Fine making him a nod to a version of Braniac. He also shuts down some computer feeds with a virus entitled B-13 which is another reference to the Superman villain. Plus, there’s a clever inclusion of “Truth, Justice, and A Better Tomorrow”.

From there the show takes about a year jump in order to wrap up some themes and loose ends presented from the series as a whole. In and of itself, this would have been a nice send-off but then we’re gifted with an epilogue that truly makes this a special finale. Superman & Lois S4 Ep 10 is also a farewell to the fans and it adds a nice personal touch. Simply put, it’s a great ending to a great show.

Superman & Lois starred Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent, with Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor, Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons, Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, and Chad L. Coleman as Bruno Mannheim.
