Jason Momoa has just been recast in the DC Universe and is set to play Lobo in the upcoming film, ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’. Momoa previously played Aquaman in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe and will return to the franchise as an entirely new character.

At a fan event in London for Aquaman 2, Momoa talked to fans (myself included) about how much he loved Lobo and almost teased that there was news to come… well it seems that this may just be it! It is arguably the role that he was born for, whilst I adored his take on Aquaman, Lobo is pretty much Jason Momoa and I have no doubts that he will absolutely crush the role.

In a post on Instagram he shared his passion and love for the character and confirmed that he would be playing him in the upcoming Supergirl movie. James Gunn went on to confirm this news and Momoa later posted a video of him holding the script which says ‘For Lobo’s Eyes Only’. Following the announcement, David Leitch expressed his interest to work on a solo Lobo film with Momoa. Leitch is known for his directorial work on ‘John Wick’, ‘Bullet Train’, ‘The Fall Guy’ and more, personally I think it would be a perfect match!

We can look forward to seeing Jason Momoa’s take on Lobo in ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow‘, which is set to start filming in the UK this month.
