DC Announce Major Comic Crossover, ‘We Are Yesterday’

DC have just announced ‘We Are Yesterday’, a six-part crossover which introduces the Legion Of Doom and more within the pages of ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest’ and ‘Justice League Unlimited’.

This April, the events of the ‘DC All In Special’ are set to return to haunt our heroes in the first major crossover of this recent initiative! The legendary Mark Waid will write the three parts of the story alongside an incredible roster of co-writers and artists. The story will be told within the pages of ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest’, ‘Justice League Unlimited’ and the ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual’.

On 16th April, Gorilla Grod takes centre stage as the crossover kicks off in ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38‘. Dan Mora is the artist for the first of three connecting main covers for the issue, alongside variant covers artists Gavin Guidry, Adrían Gutiérrez, and Elizabeth Torque, plus an April Fools’ Day variant cover by Brandt & Stein.

Here’s the official synopsis from DC:

The Man of Steel and the Dark Knight will be hard-pressed as it is to keep up with the psychic powers of DC’s sinister simian, but this time there’s something different, as if Grodd has knowledge of the future. And it remains to be seen what any of this has to do with the death of Darkseid!                 

Part two unfolds in the pages of ‘Justice League Unlimited #6‘ which is set for release on 23rd April. Writer Mark Waid is joined by artist Travis Moore for this issue. It  features the second of three connecting covers by Dan Mora, with variant covers by Lee Bermejo, Nathan Szerdy, Dan Jurgens, Felipe Massafera, and Travis Moore.

Part three of this crossover hits stores on 30th April in the ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual’. It too is written by Mark Waid, who is joined by Christopher Cantwell and Morgan Hampton. Interior art is by Dan McDaid and Clayton Henry. The issue is also set to be the first appearance of John Stewart in the series. Dan Mora provides the third and final connecting cover, with variants by Clayton Henry, Salvador Larroca and Laura Braga.
