Sean Murphy Confirms Superman To Feature In New Instalment Of ‘White Knight’ Series

Sean Murphy is the creator of the ‘Murphyverse’ which is focused around his work on the White Knight series which has a focus around Batman. Recently on social media Sean Murphy has confirmed that he is actively working on a 4th Instalment which MAY be titled ‘White Knight Volume 4’ and he has also confirmed that it is set to have some focus around Superman. The ‘Murphyverse’ so far includes his work on ‘White Knight’, ‘Curse of the White Knight’, and ‘Beyond the White Knight‘.

During the unofficial announcement, Sean Murphy also shared a rough sketch of his take on Superman. In the initial reveal he asks fans for their advice on whether or not he wears worker boots and after Murphy received several messages from farm workers, he has confirmed the worker boots will stick. Personally I really dig this look for Superman, the casual take on him is pretty accurate and how I’d genuinely expect Clark to dress in real life as someone in his 20s like Murphy indicates. The super-suit itself is also a great look, it features a bold take on a familiar design, which just enough enhancements to really make it stand out and be individual.

So far there isn’t much indication of a release date, just that it is currently being worked on, but we do know that it will continue the continuity which established a reimagined Neo-Gotham alongside Batman.
