Krypto Joins Prime 1 Studio’s ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ Statue
Prime 1 Studio has announced that Krypto is joining its quarter-scale Real Elite Masterline Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow collectible. In its September 25 product update, the company names both REMDC-03 and REMDC-03S as qualifying products and states that all customers who purchase those editions are eligible for the addition.
The reveal gives Krypto plenty of personality. His textured white fur, bright eyes and open-mouthed expression make him look delighted to be part of the adventure. Raised front paws and a sweeping red cape create a lively pose, while his yellow collar and shield-shaped tag finish the heroic look. Just as striking is the base beneath him. Swirling orange, red and green forms give the piece a wonderfully strange, cosmic setting, with a Superman shield anchoring the front of the darker pedestal. The combination makes Krypto feel at home in the colorful world surrounding Kara’s display.
Prime 1 Studio says his specially designed base complements Supergirl’s and allows collectors to arrange the two pieces freely. That flexibility is a welcome part of the update: Krypto has a pose and presence of his own, giving collectors another way to compose the scene. The Supergirl collectible draws on the comic by writer Tom King, artist Bilquis Evely and colorist Matheus Lopes. Prime 1 Studio describes a display that brings together imagery from Kara’s journey, including Ruthye waiting for a space bus, alien plants and clouds of galactic gas. The concept gives the sculpture a connection to the environments and people that make the story memorable.
For us, Krypto’s expressive sculpt adds a particularly inviting detail to that ambitious design. Your eye can travel through the unusual scenery and dramatic cape before landing on a dog who seems thrilled simply to be there. It gives the display a lovely sense of companionship.
At the time of writing, the Bonus Version listing (www.prime1studio.com/dcsg-supergirl-woman-of-tomorrow/REMDC-03S.html) is priced at $1,599, with an edition size of 350 and an estimated shipping window of December 2027 through March 2028. Its listed Supergirl display dimensions are approximately 63cm high, 44cm wide and 35cm deep. The Bonus Version also offers a smiling alternate head and a head stand.
