DC Comics’ Metropolis Grove PREVIEW
Metropolis Grove is a middle-grade graphic novel which targets readers aged between 9 and 12. I love this whole scheme, not only is it allowing us to show DC’s most iconic heroes to our children, it is also encouraging a brand new generation of readers and superhero fan.
Metropolis Grove is no exception, and it (of course) focuses around our favourite hero – Superman.
Here is the official blurb of the book:
The big city is full of Superman sightings, but here in Metropolis Grove? Every kid in this suburb knows that he’s not real…except newcomer Sonia Patel, who convinces her friends Duncan and Alex to believe! When the trio discover a mysterious cave full of Super-memorabilia, they can’t keep it to themselves, and that sets off a school year full of drama and adventure and more than a few opportunities for a newfound friendship to test its limits. And when they finally figure out the resident of the cave is Bizarro, things get even more out of control!

The book is both written and illustrated by Drew Brockington, which is very impressive! Here is an official preview of the graphic novel:
I love the artwork style, it’s vibrant and eye-catching which is exactly what young readers need. I am very much looking forward to getting my hands on this book.
Metropolis Grove is set for release on 4th May 2021, and is available to pre-order now. You can do so here (UK), or here (US).
