The DC animated titles just keep on coming! Following the release of ‘DC’s Justice League x RWBY‘, next up is ‘Justice League: Warworld’. Earlier this week, DC revealed the official voice cast and an exclusive still of the upcoming film.
‘Justice League: Warworld’ is the upcoming animated home release by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics. It is set for release this summer and the voice cast has now been announced. It features some returning roles and a few new additions. Jensen Ackles is set to return as Batman/Officer Wayne, Stana Katic as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince and Darren Criss is set to return as Superman/Agent Kent. Here’s a look at The Trinity in action:
The voice cast also includes Ike Amadi as Martian Manhunter/J’onn J’onzz, Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, Matt Bomer as Old Man, Roger C. Cross as Machiste, Brett Dalton as Bat Lash, Trevor Devall as Drifter, John DiMaggio as Lobo, Robin Atkin Downes as Mongul, Frank Grillo as Agent Faraday, Rachel Kimsey as Mariah Romanova, David Lodge as Sheriff, and Damian O’Hare as Deimos and Teddy Sears as Warlord.
‘Justice League: Warworld’ is directed by Jeff Wamester, written by Jeremy Adams, Ernie Altbacker and Josie Campbell. It is produced by Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau, with Butch Lukic, Sam Register and Michael Uslan as an Executive Producers.
In an exclusive, The Hollywood Reporter also revealed the official synopsis for the upcoming release: “Until now, the Justice League has been a loose association of superpowered individuals. But when they are swept away to Warworld, a place of unending brutal gladiatorial combat, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the others must somehow unite to form an unbeatable resistance able to lead an entire planet to freedom.”
If the past releases of the DC animated universe have been anything to go by, this is going to be fantastic. ‘Justice League: Warworld’ is set for release this Summer.
