DC Comics To Launch Official Discord Server In July
DC Comics are set to launch an official Discord server this July, this is set to replace the current DC Community site later this year.
The DC Official Discord server will launch this July and will be an all-new place for DC fans to discuss comics, movies, merchandise, TV and anything else DC! They are encouraging fans to share their thoughts, theories and opinions in a moderated, safe, but lively and loyal place. There will be dedicated channels devoted to DC comics, movies, games, particular characters, fan art, cosplay and anything else you can think of! There will be several formats which include text and also voice and video channels to share your thoughts with friends. You can also take part in official polls, quizzes, community games and much more. DC promises to cease a rotating schedule of content and programming that will keep users busy all year round.
With that in mind, DC’s current community site will be moving to a read only format from 5th August and will then close down permanently from 2nd September 2024 with this new server replacing it entirely. However, those that are current DC Community members are set to get some exclusive perks which include; a unique ‘DC Community Original’ role in the new Discord server, access to an exclusive private channel, plus some of your favourite DC Community features like Ask…the Question, Mixtape Monday and our creator Q&As will continue on.
