James Gunn Confirms Release Date For ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ And Teases Release For ‘Lanterns’

It looks like Green Lantern fans have inadvertently learned when to expect the highly anticipated ‘Lanterns’ tv series to debut.

According to James Gunn, Lanterns starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre is looking to debut around the same time as the ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ movie which has a confirmed release date of June 26, 2026.

This is very exciting news as we’ve never had two tentpole DC properties existing at the same time for fans to enjoy. Imagine going to see ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ on the big screen and then home to catch a new episode of ‘Lanterns’. I imagine this is the ultimate vision James Gunn has for DC Studios.

Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow‘ starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El and Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills will be based on ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’ by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. This is a Supergirl story unlike anything I have read before. I cannot wait to see how it translates onto the big screen.
