UNBOXING: Mezco Toyz and Crazy Toys Batman V Superman Figurines
Well here goes, my first unboxing video showcasing the Mezco Toyz and Crazy Toys Batman V Superman figurines. I’ve always wanted to do this, but I always thought it was pointless as I didn’t have too many followers, none of my friends are into collectible toys and figurines and I didn’t have this blog as a platform to do so. So I thought it was time I got to it! I also apologise in advance, this is my first video of me speaking on here and I was so so nervous! The videos will get better with time, I promise.
I was lucky enough to get two incredible figurines by two collectible manufacturers (one of them is one of my favourites) for Christmas this year, and I was NOT disappointed.
First up, we have the Mezco Batman V Superman – Superman Action Figure One:12.
Mezco Toyz are an extremely well-respected manufacturing company which specialise in TV, Comic, Film and Pop Culture figurines, and might I add that they are all incredibly detailed and expertly modeled. This is my second Mezco Toyz figurine, but I am always on the look out for more! The ones that I want tend to be the most expensive ones…..Typical right?
The box itself comes in see through sleeve which has images of the box contents and of course the Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice logo.
I am so chuffed with this figurine, and sorry – I’m sad I want to keep it in the box to maintain its condition! You can see enough though right? Some more details that you can’t really see in the video, it has 38 points of articulation so the toy itself is extremely flexible and can be molded into almost any position. The outfit is also real fabric, designed to resemble a perfect recreation of Michael Wilkinson’s costume design for the film.
Next up is the Crazy Toys; Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Superman Figurine.
After doing some reading up on Crazy Toys, there isn’t a lot to find, it seems they are known for doing knock-off figurines, which rip off the likes of Sideshow Collectibles (the daddy of collectibles) and other manufacturers, which is a huge shame. I can only hope that this figurine is the real deal, either way it’s a great addition to my collection, and is extremely detailed still.
Luckily for you guys, this figurine is second hand and the previous owner has already opened all of the pieces, so you get to see everything! Below is the box sleeve that the figurine and all its pieces come in.
The packaging for this, kind of reminds me of pass the parcel…. so so many layers, but well protected to say the least! After you take the cardboard sleeve off, you get the Dawn of Justice printed box.
Then, when you take off the lid, you get a folded cover, which hides the product underneath. But I have to say I love the artwork and colours used on that folded cover! I took photos of each step as it was hard to video, talk and unpackage and the same time! I need to get myself a tripod!
And then finally, you get to see the toy itself!
And here is a rundown of the contents of the box!
Again this figurine is very detailed, and has a slight metallic colouring to it, which I love. The figurine is also very flexible and allows you to move almost every part of its body, which is great! The stand that it comes with allows you to position him either in flight or in a fight position, which is great that you get an option.
Overall, I am very happy with my figurines, I have a few others which are in storage at the moment. Soon I plan to get my own house, where one of the rooms will be a Fortress of Solitude and will feature all of my collection. When that time comes I will be able to take you guys through my whole collection and all of my figurines. Until then I plan to increase my figurine collecftion significantly, so keep an eye out for more unboxing videos!
Did you receive any superhero themed figurines or collectibles over the Christmas holidays? What are your views on Crazy Toys and their knock-offs? I’d love to hear about them!
Check out my latest Superman collection update here!
Great figures! Nice detail.
I didn’t get any superhero themed figures, though I did get 2 Pops and a Transformer. I don’t collect pops generally though I was not unhappy as one was Godzilla and the other was Prince Vultan from Flash Gordon. The Transformer wasn’t a gift, rather it was an offer. Fortress Maximus, was a San Diego Comicon Exclusive, I understand and wee shop in glasgow bought a load of them. And were selling them a year ago for £160. They were selling them three weeks ago for £40. I bought one. It is huge. Good videos. I found a tripod is really useful for doing them in general
I have around 5 or 6 superhero figures and they’re all superman ones I’ll be honest ha. I’ll have to take a look at getting a tripod! Thanks
They help, it means you can be in front of the camera or even angle camera above your subject without danger of shakes. That being said for about the first year all of my videos were webcam so you make do.
Yeah it never occurred to me to do videos but definitely going to start doing them more often!
Lovely post. Love those batman dolls 🙂

I’m seriously freaking out!! I want them so badly, in fact, the packaging box itself is so gorgeous with the rustic black and dark feel to it, I love it <3 <3
